Lodge Avenue Cycle Track

There's a new (ish) cycle track ( a bit of segregated off footway) southbound for a few yards north of the junction of Lodge Avenue with Keir Hardie Way / Woodward Road. Unsure of its purpose.

Anyone used it?

I know the one you refer to Colin, it is useless, cant understand why it was even put there. If you need cross Lodge Avenue at the foot of the railway bridge where the new traffic lights are, you need either use the road or the pedestrian crossing. If you travel up the green track it finishes and would leave you on the pavement. As the area from the Woodward Road junction in Lodge Avenue now has a bus lane from north to south on the southbound side this leaves a very narrow road space if you are heading towards the Roundhouse, from the Woodward Road junction, can bring vehicles very close if you are on a bike, especially large lorries. I frequently use it and have to be careful, others will resort to the pavement. It is a mess and dangerous for two wheeled travel in that area.
